Rohit Sharma broke many records on last Sunday as his team Mumbai Indians won the final of the tenth edition of Indian Premier League. Mumbai won an exciting game of cricket against local rivals Rising Pune Supergiant. Rohit became the first player to be a part of four IPL winning teams (one with now disbanded Deccan Chargers in 2009).

But the scenario was not very easy for Rohit. He had last played in an ODI for India way back in October 2016. While attempting a dive, he injured his quadriceps and had to fly to London for treatment. Since the injury was not a minor one, he missed series against England, one-off Test against Bangladesh and the Test series against Australia.

Ritika’s ‘strongest man’

Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit’s better half was also present at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad to witness her husband and his boys create history by becoming the first team to win three IPL titles. She was ecstatic after the victory and was seen posing with the trophy after the match with her husband while photographers went click-click.

She has expressed her emotions on social media. In her recent Instagram post, she had admitted that Rohit went through the hardest six months of his life. She also exclaimed that no one is stronger than her husband and she is proud of it.

“It’s not just because you captained your team to yet another IPL title but the fact that I’ve seen you go through possibly the hardest 6 months of your life and come out stronger, faster and more determined than ever. You’re the strongest person I know and I am so so so proud of you. Congratulations to you and all your boys on bringing the cup back home @rohitsharma45 #????” read her Instagram post.

Rohit will now don the blue jersey back again, as he will be opening the innings with Shikhar Dhawan against Pakistan on 4th June at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
