Rovman Powell signs up for Dhaka Dynamite for BPL-5

Rovman Powell has been a part of various Twenty20 franchises in different countries. He has been around international cricket for not long but has made a name for himself as a power hitter and a handy bowler. Powell is currently employed with his national team playing against the mighty Indians.

He has a lot to offer with both the bat and bowl and the 23-year-old is a very athletic fielder. Rovman was hired by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He did not get to feature for the team but certainly has the IPL experience to add to his resume.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is on the verge now and the franchises are hard at work. They are roping in various players from all over the world for the upcoming season. And in the same bid the defending champions, Dhaka Dynamites have secured the signing of Rovman Powell.

Dhaka Dynamites sign Powell

Dhaka have signed eight foreign players and Powell’s addition will bulk up the artillery of the team. The other seven are, Kumar Sangakkara, Shahid Afridi, Shane Watson, Sunil Narine, Mohammad Amir, Even Lewis and Asela Gunaratne.

The fifth edition of the BPL is expected to be another hit in Bangladesh as the cricket crazy nation is gearing up for some exciting cricket. Dhaka have been surprising their fans by signing superstar after superstar as they will look to defend their title in the fifth edition of BPL.

Cricket is at a high in Bangladesh since the national team has been in some rich form beating major teams in international cricket. Their recent exploits in the Champions Trophy where they made it to the semi-finals will also inspire the fans to go out there and root the superstars when they take field in their homegrown Twenty20 league later this year.
