Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has been quite good with funny banters and memes around the IPL for the last two months and he came up with yet another masterpiece that left the fans in splits. With three teams, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants qualified for the playoff stages of IPL 2022, only one of Royal Challengers Bangalore or Delhi Capitals still have a chance to continue further in the season.
RCB won their previous encounter against the GT side after a match-winning inning from Virat Kohli sealed the deal for the Faf du Plessis-led side and they are currently at the fourth spot in the points table with eight wins in 14 games. However, they have a negative net run rate which means that DC needs just a win to progress into the playoffs as they are currently in the fifth place with seven wins in 13 games with a positive net run rate.
RCB fans will be eagerly watching tonight’s (May 21) game between MI and DC and would be hoping for MI to do them a bit of help by securing a win against DC. Jaffer provided his humourous take on the situation with a tweet, calling the Royal Challengers Bangalore ‘Royal Challengers Bombay’ as their fans would be supporting MI to win against DC.
“Tonight, RCB = Royal Challengers Bombay #MIvDC #IPL2022 ” Jaffer captioned the image.
“Though they(MI and DC) are playing, the match is ours (RCB),” the image read.

Mumbai has nothing to lose and will be looking to end their campaign with a win this year after a disappointing season so far. A big win here might also propel them above Chennai Super Kings in the points table and keep them away from the tag of wooden spoon holders.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have played outstanding cricket in the last few games and have managed to win big as well. The Rishabh Pant-led side would be hoping to make it to the playoffs for the fourth year in a row.
