The rumours of the Indian stalwart KL Rahul dating the Bollywood Actress Athiya Shetty have been doing rounds for some while now. The two were often spotted going out on dinner or trips together when there was no lockdown and the situation was normal. Though Rahul and Athiya have not admitted to romance, their social media posts and comments on each other’s pictures speak a thousand words.
The rumoured couple often trend on social networking sites whenever they leave mushy comments on each other’s post. Recently, the actress took to the photograph sharing application to post a picture of herself while drinking tea. Athiya was looking stunning in the pics as she can be seen sporting blue jeans and a grey t-shirt along with a check shirt.
The Bollywood diva captioned her picture as, “It’s always tea time”
The post by the 27-year-old quickly grabbed the attention of KL Rahul, who is currently in UAE preparing for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. The cricketer dropped a black hear and an angel emoji on Athiya’s post which sent the social media in frenzy. The actress too responded to the comment made by her rumoured boyfriend with a feeling fuzzy emoticon.
KL Rahul to lead Kings XI Punjab for the first time
The Karnataka Stalwart is currently in Dubai with his KXIP teammates training for the 13th edition of the cash-rich league which is slated to begin from September 19, with the final to take place on November 10 across three venues namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. This will be a special tournament for Rahul as he will be leading his IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab for the very first time. Also, KL will be looking forward to replicating his performance of last season as in 2019 he had finished as the second-highest run-getter of the season with 593 runs.
The swashbuckling batsman was last seen in action during the India tour of New Zealand earlier this year where he had spellbound everyone with his brilliant batting. He had scored 221 runs in the five-match T20 International (T20I) series while he accumulated 204 runs in the One-day Internationals (ODIs). KL had also essayed the role of the wicketkeeper for the Indian National Team during the T20I and ODI series.
