KL Rahul was dismissed for just 8 runs in the second innings of the 2nd Test match between South Africa and India at Johannesburg. Rahul edged a short delivery from Marco Jansen to Aiden Markram in the slip cordon who took a good low catch.
However, the umpires were not fully convinced that Markram’s fingers were underneath the ball, and the decision was sent upstairs to the third umpire. The third umpire then confirmed that Rahul was out.
Rahul and South African skipper Dean Elgar exchanged a few words as the Indian skipper walked back to the pavilion. “Rahul and Elgar have an exchange. Not a pleasant one by the looks of it,” read the tweet from a Twitter handle by name Benaam Baadshah.
