The last few days haven’t really been kind to Virat Kohli. Despite all that is happening in his professional life, the Indian Test captain has managed to remain cheerful. In a recent video, the charismatic cricketer was seen teasing the veteran pacer, Ishant Sharma.
On Friday, the BCCI posted a video and gave an update to the Indian fans about the team’s whereabouts. The 25-second video shows of the team’s journey from Mumbai to Johannesburg. “From Mumbai to Jo’Burg! Capturing #TeamIndia’s journey to South Africa,” read the caption.
The Indian captain in the longest format of the game seemed in a jovial mood as he went on to make fun of the tall pacer. In the video, he said that Ishant Sharma is ready to travel anywhere in the world as long he has the necessary things in his suitcase with him. The seamer was then seen asking his skipper not to tease him in the early morning.

Owing to the fact that both of them hail from Delhi, the two cricketers do share a great bond together. This video also showed a montage, which included the Indian team landing in Johannesburg. It consisted of several Indian players travelling in a bus as well.
While the right-arm pacer has been in and out of the side due to his fitness issues, he was the only bowler who went wicketless in the first Test against New Zealand. With the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur, it isn’t going to be all that easy for him to feature in the XI. However, taking his experience into account, he might just be able to get a chance in at least one of the Tests.
The three-match Test series between India and South Africa is all set to take place on December 26, at Centurion. While the Kohli-led side has been in superb form of late, they are yet to win a Test series in the rainbow nation. However, taking the team strength into account, this might just be the perfect opportunity to win their maiden Test series in this part of the world.
