Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest cricket of all time. Period. There is simply no argument to this and many, irrespective of whether or not they have seen him play accept this as gospel truth. Having played for India for over two decades, Tendulkar boasts of perhaps every possible record to his name. Having said that, he is a ‘GOAT’ in every respect of that word as well, and of course, being the Greatest of all time is perhaps one of the best things one can have said about himself.
Recently, when Tendulkar took to Twitter to wish a friend on his birthday. In no surprise, that friend turned out to be none other than Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who had a mini bash in his Mumbai home. Having been wished by Sachin, Ranveer took to Twitter to thank the former writing back ‘Thank you GOAT.’
Tendulkar retired from all forms of cricket in 2013 with his 200th and final Test match coming against the West Indies. Although he slammed an impressive 74 in the first innings, it was quite clear that he was going to give it all up at some point in his illustrious career.
There are many innings that Sachin has played which will remain ethced in the minds of Indian cricket fans across the globe. Many would also remember the knocks he had produced on the 2003 World Cup when the Indians came within touching distance of the World Cup trophy only to lose out to the Aussies in the final.
The Tendulkar-Ranveer banter on Twitter:
As Ranveer continued his birthday celebrations, the erstwhile Sachin Tendulkar had a birthday wish for the Bollywood actor. As had Dale Steyn replied to Sachin, Ranveer Singh followed suit calling the legendary Indian batsman a ‘GOAT’ also referred to as The Greatest of all time, something Tendulkar certainly is.
