Sachin Tendulkar lauds Team India for a resounding win over Pakistan
India played back-to-back matches and won both of them.
Former Indian legendary cricketer and one of the all-time best batsman in World Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, on Wednesday, congratulated India for a thumping victory over arch-rivals Pakistan and appreciated India’s two back to back wins in as many days.
Despite coming across a hectic schedule in the sapping heat of the UAE, the Men in Blue had an impressive outing against Pakistan in Dubai as they defeated them by a huge margin of eight wickets, making sure they top the table after the termination of the first round.
Indian bowlers, after an average display in the first match against Hong Kong, came back very strongly. They kept their nerves in the high-octane clash and ran through Pakistan’s batting line-up not giving them any chance to settle down in the middle.

The target was made even easier with the Indian openers, Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, producing the opening partnership of 86 runs. Thereafter, the duo of Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik finished the match within 29 overs. Defeating the arch-rivals Pakistan is always delighting for fans while the feeling is also the same for the former cricketers. Like others, the World’s number one batsman during his playing days, India’s own Sachin Tendulkar too expressed his jubilation over the big win.
He took to his official Twitter handle and congratulating the team over its all-round efforts and also hailed them for playing back to back matches.
In his tweet, Sachin wrote, “Never easy to play back to back ODIs, especially when the 2nd is against Pakistan. Excellent all-round effort #TeamIndia! Congratulations. #AsiaCup2018”
Tendulkar who is often called as “God of the Cricket” with more than 18000 ODI and 15000 Test runs owns the record for most runs in international cricket. He entertained the cricket fans of the world for more than 24 years, most by any player which is the reason he is considered as the best batsman the game has ever seen.
