Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been very busy in the recent times. He has been promoting his upcoming biopic release, titled Sachin: A billion dreams. The movie seems to be holding a very close place in Sachin’s heart. The amount of efforts he has been putting in the promotions is certainly unmatched. While one would expect this to be a positive thing, the fans have started getting overdosed by the promotions.

The most recent among all promotional events of Sachin Tendulkar was when he met the personnel of the Indian army. He noted that he has always revered the services that the army men have been giving to the country. Popular news house ANI posted his quote along with a picture on the social media site Twitter.

Much to the surprise of many, the tweet did not go down well with the fans. They started mocking Sachin for using the name of the Indian army for the sake of promoting his movie. The tweet read, “When I decided to do this movie, first thought was that 1st screening should be for Indian Armed forces: Tendulkar #SachinABillionDreams.”

Some people believed that it was a promotional gig and others ended up questioning his absence from the Rajya Sabha. There were a few who mocked him for not being responsive enough for the cause of the army at all times and remembering them only for selfish benefits.

Using harsh words for someone of the stature of Sachin Tendulkar is definitely uncalled for. There is a way of putting things using the right words and their point would stand more validated if they put things in the right way.

Here is how the Twitter reacted to the promotions done by Sachin Tendulkar:
