Sachin Tendulkar finds unique way to convey his undelivered Rajya Sabha speech

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was all set to deliver his first ever speech in the Rajya Sabha recently. However, the legendary cricketer was denied an opportunity to do so due a massive uproar in the governing house. Sachin’s maiden Rajya Sabha speech was scheduled to be delivered in the session held on December 21 (Thursday).

Sachin Tendulkar was supposed to deliver a speech on the topic of importance of sports in the country. He was slated to be one of the speakers at the session with his speech titled as ‘Let’s make India a sport playing nation’. Surprisingly, when Sachin stood up to address the parliamentarians, there was a section of crowd that started shouting.

Well, their shouts were not against Sachin or had anything to do with the speech of the maestro for that matter. However, the reason for the massive uproar was the verdict of the 2G scam. The opposition party leaders created a ruckus in the house as they were more interested to listen to the 2G scam report more than Sachin’s speech.

Despite all attempts, Sachin’s maiden speech went undelivered as the UPA parliamentarians did not cease their shouts. Interestingly, it was the same UPA government, which when in power, had inducted Sachin Tendulkar in the Rajya Sabha. Also, they had nominated Sachin for the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor, as well.

Sachin could not deliver the speech on the day but that did not stop him from conveying his message. He found a unique way to reach out to the audiences. Sachin shared a video on his social media handles in which he gave the same speech that he was supposed to deliver at the Rajya Sabha. In the video, Sachin is seen quoting the importance of sports in the day to day life.

He urged the civilians to take sports very seriously and hoped for the stake holders to develop the sports culture in the country.
