Sachin Tendulkar gives the best Diwali gift to his super-fan

As an avid follower of the game, we all have dreamt of meeting our idols and spending some quality time with them. While most of our dreams remain dreams forever, some are actually lucky to meet their icons. But not many are as lucky as Rajudas Rathod, the man from Beed, Maharashtra enjoyed the best day of his life on October 18, when he met his idol, Sachin Tendulkar.

Rathod featured as a contestant in one of India’s most popular reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. Currently, in its ninth season, the show is being watched by millions of people all over India. In the show, it was revealed that the man from Maharashtra holds the record of breaking TV remotes, which is a result of quarreling with his daughter. Just like billions of other Indian cricket enthusiasts, Rathod too could hardly afford to miss a cricket match when the ‘God of cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar was playing.

He revealed that it has been his lifelong wish to meet his idol. Luckily for him, Tendulkar noticed his fan’s request and decided to fulfill it. KBC 9, in association with Sachin’s 100 MB, organised a meet and greet session on 18th October, where the master blaster met with Rathod. Surely for Rathod, it was the best ever Diwali gift he could have longed for.

Sachin watched the episode

A source revealed that the owner of 100 international tons watched the episode and felt blessed with Rathod’s love and affection towards him. “It was an exciting and an emotional day for Rajudas Rathod, who finally got a chance to meet his icon Sachin Tendulkar. Overwhelmed with this gesture, Rajudas couldn’t control his emotions. To his surprise, Sachin spoke about how he watched the episode and felt blessed with the love he showered upon him,” the source mentioned, as per reports in DNA.

The source further added, “Further to thank Rajudas for the cake’s he cut on Sachin’s birthdays, Sachin requested to cut a cake to compensate all the celebrations. What followed was a signed bat from Sachin himself as a token of appreciation. It was indeed a great moment and made everyone happy.”
