In his latest post, the former Mumbai Indians captain introduced netizens to his new friend.
It wasn’t a cricketer or any other renowned personality but a pet dog named Spike. Subsequently, the comment section got flooded in no time with Twitterati showering praises on the snap.
Meet Sachin Tendulkar’s new partner
“My new ‘Paw’tner, Spike is making his social media debut today! Say Hi!” read the caption of the snap. Tendulkar’s love for animals is hidden from none as the cricket icon has shared pictures with animals on numerous occasions. Besides dogs, Sachin has also been spotted with cats and birds.
The 48-year-old has also been batting for the proper treatment of animals and birds. A couple of years ago, Sachin shared a video of him feeding an injured kite. He then urged all his fans to play their part and help animals in need. Now, Tendulkar has once again shown that he likes spending time with animals as he was all smiles in his snap with Spike.

Meanwhile, Tendulkar retired from international cricket in November 2013 but not before scoring 34357 runs at the highest level, most for anyone to date. These numbers won’t enhance anymore but many of Sachin’s records are still untouched. Current Indian skipper Virat Kohli seems to be the only player to match or surpass the legendary cricketer’s run or hundred tally.
However, Kohli still has a long way to go. Meanwhile, Tendulkar, like many of his contemporaries, hasn’t become an active coach or commentator after retirement. However, this doesn’t restrict him from presenting his opinion on cricket-related topics. The veteran uses social media to present his opinion on all sorts of things going around.
