Reference in Mann Ki Baat
It may be recollected that earlier on Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister had cited the right-handed batsman as a prime example for the students to compete with oneself and not with others.
In reply, the cricketer thanked him (Narendra Modi) and stressed that preparation is key for everyone, be it a student or a player. Sachin has always been known as one of the most hard working players in the cricketing industry, despite the numerous injuries that affected him throughout his career.
“Thank you @PMOIndia for the mention. Preparation is key for everyone… be it a student or a player. Focus makes the challenge less daunting,” Tendulkar replied to the Prime Minister on Twitter.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams written and directed by James Erksine is set to hit the theatres on the 26th of May. The movie focuses on the cricketer’s life, his 24 years journey in the game and his experience playing for India.
