Sachin Tendulkar motivates Mumbai Ranji and U-19 team with a pep talk

India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar might have retired from playing cricket but is still in touch with Mumbai Cricket by motivating the Mumbai Ranji and U-19 Team ahead of the gruelling Ranji season. The greatest batsman ever produced by the country took to social media to post about the session with the Mumbai team, revealing that it brought back some good old memories.
Tendulkar has always been the icon player of Mumbai Indians during his playing days. After retiring from the game, he has been associated with Ambani’s team throughout the IPL as the mentor of the franchise. A legend for Mumbai team himself, Tendulkar has amassed as many as 4821 runs at an average of 90.96 at First Class level, smashing a mammoth 20 centuries and 21 half-centuries for the domestic giants.
Mumbai has also been a powerhouse for producing quality cricketers at the International level year after year. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Ajinkya Rahane, Wasim Jaffer, and many others are the product of the Mumbai Cricket Association.
Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, Akhil Herwadekar and Prithvi Shaw would be the players to watch out for in the coming season of Ranji Trophy which begins on October 6 with the final scheduled to be played from December 29 till January 2, 2018. Shardul Thakur is currently with the Indian Cricket team in the ongoing tour to Sri Lanka. The team would be captained by wicket keeper batsman Aditya Tare.
Tendulkar took to social media to upload a picture of the same and his Instagram post read: “A great session with the #MumbaiRanjiTeam & #U19 boys at the MCA! This definitely brought back some old memories. My best wishes to all of you ”
