Sachin Tendulkar, Sehwag laud Indian Dwarf athletes on Twitter
The Indian contingent has performed extremely well in the world Dwarf games.
The former Indian opening pair Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, have praised the Indian athletes for their incredible performance in World Dwarf Games. They were very happy with India’s performance in the event and took to social media website Twitter on Thursday to express their feelings.
The Indian contingent has performed extremely well at Dwarf games. They bagged a total of 37 medals among which 14 are gold and 10 are silver medals and on the whole, India stood at the 10th position in the medals tally. Both the legends of the cricket were extremely proud of their performance and the athletes have every right to earn the praise from them.
The Master Blaster congratulated the all the athletes in a unique way. His tweet read, “37 reasons to be extra proud of #TeamIndia’s performance at the #WorldDwarfGames. 15 Gold, 10 Silver & 12 Bronze. Outstanding achievement!”
Earlier in the day, Virender Sehwag, who is always trending in the social media for his witty tweets, had felicitated the contingent for the superlative performance. “Wonderful effort by Team India. Standing tall with 37 medals (15 gold) at World Dwarf Games known as ‘Olympics of little people’ held in Toronto,” the dashing opener wrote.

Both, Sachin and Sehwag have retired from cricket and are always active on social media to stay connected with the fans. Tendulkar is the crucial member of the BCCI appointed Cricket Advisory Committee along with Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman along with being a legislator in the capacity of a Member of Parliament from the Rajya Sabha.
On the other hand, Viru is enjoying his stints as a Hindi commentator. He is also the head of the cricket operations of the IPL frnachise Kings XI Punjab.
The athletes would surely feel proud that their achievement is being recognised across the country and they will only be inspired to do much better in the upcoming events.
