Team India’s lead pacer Ishant Sharma is celebrating his 30th birthday on Sunday. The lanky fast bowler is currently featuring in the ongoing fourth Test match in Southampton against England. Ishant is the senior most pacer in the side and has brought his experiences from the previous tours to great utilisation on this tour.
He has picked 15 wickets so far in this series and has also gone past the 250 Test wicket-mark recently. On the occasion of his birthday, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took it to the micro-blogging site Twitter to wish ‘Lambu’. Post his retirement, Sachin has been very active on social media and is often seen hailing the cricketer’s performances and wishing them on the special occasions.

In the birthday tweet, the Master Blaster has taken a cheeky dig at Ishant Sharma’s height. Sachin was also quite to note that Ishant Sharma’s birthday was celebrated on the same day as the World Coconut Day. Further, Sachin wrote a part of his tweet in Hindi.
“@ImIshant! Only fitting that your birthday is celebrated on #WorldCoconutDay. Have a great one,’ the 45-year-old Sachin Tendulkar tweeted. This means that in an attempt to pluck coconuts off a coconut tree, Ishant has grown so long. Tendulkar has also shared an old picture of him batting along with the birthday boy in a Test match for India.
Here is Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet:

Ishant has got an uphill task on his special day and it will be a fitting gift for him if the batsmen manage to chase down the target. He must help wrap up the English tail as soon as possible on the fourth day of the Test. Given that he has been bowling well to left-handers, he will be entrusted with the job of dismissing two of Sam Curran, Stuart Broad and James Anderson.
