Sachin Tendulkar's birthday wishes for Ranveer Singh on Twitter

Sachin Tendulkar enjoys a demigod-like status in the country, with his following expanding to many famed people from different industries. It is no news that Bollywood is also a big fan of Sachin, many of the B-town stars also grew up watching and idolising Sachin the way others did. Actor Ranveer Singh’s love for the master blaster and cricket, in particular, is seen time and again. He is often spotted at stadiums and cricketing events donning the Indian jersey as a hardcore fan.

During the buildup to the release of Sachin’s biopic, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, Ranveer too was seen actively promoting the movie. The young actor took to social media to share his excitement for the Master Blaster’s movie and in a video, donning the India jersey, requested people to watch the movie at the theatres. Calling Sachin, the greatest sportsman of all time, he also sang the Sachin anthem – ‘Sachin Sachin’ – in the video.

That would have also drawn Sachin’s attention, who reciprocate the love and respect Ranveer had honoured him with. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor was present at the grand premiere of the movie in Mumbai and as he turns 32 today, Sachin took to Twitter to wish him.

Tendulkar busy with the Cricket Advisory Committee 

Currently, the little master is busy with the appointment of the new Team India coach as he is one of the three members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) which is supposed to interview candidates who have applied for the coveted post. The other members of the committee are Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman.

As for the birthday boy Ranveer, the actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ also starring his girlfriend Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
