Sachin to think about an All Stars T20 Series in Pakistan: Reports
Reports say that The Rawalpindi express, Shoaib Akhtar has recently requested Sachin Tendulkar for hosting a season of the successful cricketing event back in Pakistan. He spoke to some Pakistani journalists in Houston, where the second match of the series is going to be played, that, “I have had a word with Sachin on the possibility of the all-stars series in Pakistan one day. Sachin was happy and expressed willingness to materialise this idea.”
The India-Pakistan stalemate after the PCB Board chief wasn’t allowed to meet the BCCI in Mumbai recently and also PCB suggesting that they wouldn’t send their team to the 2016 T20 World Cup to be hosted in India hasn’t done good to the cricketing nations and also to fans who were eager to watch both the sides face off on the field. If the recent reports are to be believed, the series might be back but the fate of it is still uncertain.
If All Stars T20 Series featuring both Indians and Pakistanis who are playing together, will be played in Pakistan, it’ll help in developing future ties between the nations. Shoaib Akhtar said, “It is now time for both countries to play against each other more regularly and engage in sporting activities. It’s about time that Pakistan and India should move forward and play cricket against each other, it will help in bridging the gap between the neighbours, I am playing from Sachin’s team and we are enjoying each other’s company and getting to know each other better. Pakistan and India must work out the bilateral series.”
The second match to be played in Houston will be a do-or-die game for Sachin’s Blasters who need to win to stay alive in the series and a ‘series point’ game for the Warne’s warriors who’ll be looking to win the series. The third match is going to be played in Los Angeles.
