April 29 didn’t start on a good note in India as the Bollywood’s most versatile actor Irrfan Khan breathed his last. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday and was under observation for colon infection. Irrfan’s mother Saeeda Begum also passed away only recently. The news of the actor passing away was shared by the film director and one of Irrfan’s close friends Shoojit Sircar.
Irrfan Khan did a lot of memorable movies during his career and literally thrilled many just with his versatile acting. He was a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions. Irrfan played a major role in the Oscar winning movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and his last movie turned out to be recently released Angrezi Medium.
Unfortunately, the film suffered due to the ongoing pandemic as the theatres were closed just after its release amid lockdown throughout the country. But Irrfan Khan’s work even in his last movie was praised by many.
“My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om shanti. Irfaan Khan salute,” Shoojit Sircar’s tweet read as he broke out the sad news in public.

Sad to hear about Irrfan Khanโs death. He is a great success story. Barely had the money to watch Jurassic Park but 22 years later he acted a role in it.
He was also a cricket fan. Was spotted at Lordโs (Eng v Pak Test) in 2018 while he was in UK for treatment. (Pic: @Furqan013) pic.twitter.com/OQwYNS49Gt
