Sakshi Dhoni liked me in the movie: Disha Patani

Actress Disha Patani, who played the role of Priyanka, in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story says she’s extremely happy with the reviews which she has received for portraying the character. MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi herself came forward and praised her work. Disha had a small but pivotal role in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, in which she played Dhoni’s late girlfriend, whom he dated in the beginning of his career.

“Dhoni is very shy and reserved so, he does not say anything… But his wife, Sakshi, talks a lot and is very adorable. She told me that she liked me in the film and she was very happy to see me. I am sure Dhoni also liked me,” the 21-year-old actress said in an interview here.

Earlier, Mrs Dhoni was also full praise of Kiara Advani, the actress who plays reel Sakshi in the movie. Sakshi Dhoni was so impressed with Kiara that she immediately called her up and praised her for her performance.

Disha spoke on the sidelines of the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week, where she walked the ramp for couturiers Nandita Mahtani, Bhavana Pandey and Dolly Sidhwani’s collaboration ‘Love Generation’. When asked her personal style, the actress said she is a tomboy and hence likes wearing casuals, “Though I love sarees and feel a woman looks most beautiful in a saree, my personal style statement is casual because I am more tomboyish. I don’t really wear sarees and suits.”

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has grossed over grossed 200 crores after releasing on 30th September. The movie opened with the highest weekend collection in the biopic category and amassed Rs 100 crore gross worldwide collections in its first three day. Sushant Singh Rajput, the lead in MS Dhoni, also received good reviews from the critics.
