7. Umesh Yadav – INR 4.2 crore
For the last couple of seasons, Umesh Yadav has been one of the premier fast bowlers in the RCB setup. The Vidarbha pacer has played 25 games across two seasons and has picked up 28 wickets. However, he’s been expensive at the death and hence, RCB have tended to use him early on more often than not.
Yadav was bought for a sum of INR 4.2 crore in the 2018 season. It came on the back of a successful stint with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Overall, he has played 119 games in the IPL and has picked up 119 wickets. He will once again lead the Indian pace bowling attack.
8. Kane Richardson – INR 4 crore
Kane Richardson has played 14 games across three IPL seasons. He made his debut back in 2013 for the now-defunct Pune Warriors India (PWI) before turning out to play for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2014 and did well (took nine wickets from seven games). In 2016, RCB bought the Aussie pacer at his base price of INR 2 crore. He played four games and picked up seven wickets but was expensive. Hence, he was discarded and let go in the next season.
However, Richardson returns to RCB colours once again. He was bought for a price of INR 4 crore and he has been in good form of late. He’s done well in the BBL and has also been one of Australia’s preferred white-ball bowlers.
