We are truly grateful for all the love and good times: Delissa Kimmince
“Thank you to everyone who made our wedding day the best day of our lives. To the bridesman and bridesmaid thank you for being our sidekicks. To all our family and friends who shared this day with us, we are truly grateful for all the love and good times we get to share with you,” wrote Kimmince on Instagram along with sharing their wedding pictures.
29-year-old Harris has played three seasons for the Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League. Her most memorable moment while representing the franchise came when she hit a winning four in the final of the 2018-19 WBBL edition. She also made her debut for Queensland women’s side in the 2016-17 season.
Kimmince, on the other hand, has represented Australia in 16 ODIs, scoring 79 runs and picking 14 wickets in her international career. In T20Is, she has donned the Australian jersey in 41 matches, hitting 162 runs and plucking 39 wickets. Kimmince was also a part of the Australian team which toured England for Women’s Ashes in 2019.
In the second Women’s ODI match of the Ashes, she scalped her maiden five-wicket haul. She also was a part of Australia Women’s T20 World Cup-winning squad in 2020. In the final against India, the Aussie women clinched the title by registering a comfortable 85-run victory.
Kimmince and Harris are one of the many same-sex couples in women’s cricket. New Zealand’s Lea Tahuhu and Amy Satterthwaite, South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp, and Australia’s Megan Schutt-Jess Holyoake and Jess Jonassen-Sarah Wearn are a few prominent names of the same-sex couple list in women’s cricket.
