Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik post a cryptic tweet; set to welcome their first child
The couple had got married in April 2010 and recently celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary.
India’s star Tennis player and the wife of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, Sania Mirza, has hinted through her latest social media update that she is expecting a baby soon. This comes as a huge news for the couple as both shared it in a unique fashion and also reiterated the surname which they will keep to their new-born child. They had exchanged marriage vows way back on April 12 in 2010 and now a new member will enter in their small family. However, it was the way in which they revealed the news which touched the hearts of everyone.
A lot of controversy had arisen when the couple in love with each other had decided to tie the knot. There was a lot of tension across the borders between the two countries as there were also demands of them not marrying due to the country barrier. But they got the support of their family which was most important as they have been living happily together ever since. Sania also has continued playing for India without changing her nationality while Shoaib continues to play for Pakistan national cricket team.
What will be the surname of the baby?
Sania Mirza took to social media website Twitter to share the good news in a sporty fashion and posted an image which illustrated the locker rooms of Mirza and Malik at two ends. In the middle, it was the small baby’s locker which named Mirza-Malik as she reiterated that the surname of the baby would be the same. Even her husband Shoaib tweeted a similar picture and captioned it as ‘Mirza-Malik’ as Sania had recently cleared about the same during the Goa Fest 2018.
“Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter,” she had said.
