Ever since the Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza has married to Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, some of the fans are questioning her nationality despite the fact she had then cleared it then that she will remain Indian and will represent her country in the sport. Pakistan is celebrating their Independence Day today and one of the fans wished her the same and indirectly tried to trigger her nationality agenda on social media. However, Sania came up with such a reply to the tweet that the person had to delete it.
The couple is expecting a child in the month of October which is the reason the Sania has taken a break from her Tennis duties. Also, the nationality of her child has been the talk of the town which she played down recently by saying that she and Shoaib don’t pay heed to any such comments. Moreover, she also went on to clarify that she hasn’t married the cricketer to unite India and Pakistan.
“A lot of people have this notion that Shoaib and I got married to unite the two countries. That is not true. Whenever I have been to Pakistan – and I go once every year to meet my in-laws – the love that I get there is immense. The whole country calls me ‘bhabhi’, and they give me so much respect,” she had said while speaking to HT Brunch.
What did she say?
On the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, one of the fans wished her and also tried to take a dig at her about her nationality. “Happy Independence Day @MirzaSania.. aapka independence day aaj hi hai na,” the tweet read which has been deleted now after her brilliant response.
Sania Mirza was quick to respond and she once again cleared that she is an Indian and will celebrate the Independence on August 15. “Jee nahi.. mera aur mere country ka Independence Day kal hai, aur mere husband aur unnki country ka aaj!! Hope your confusion is cleared !!Waise aapka kab hai?? Since you seem very confused,” her reply read.
