Sania Mirza lashes out after her video with Pakistan cricketers at Shisha Cafe went viral

Pakistan’s campaign in the 2019 World Cup isn’t getting any better by any means. The Sarfaraz Ahmed-captained unit is placed ninth in the points table with three points from five matches. It’s pretty evident that the Men in Green need to win all their games in order to progress to the semi-final. On Sunday, Pakistan lost at the hands of India by 89 runs (DLS Method) at the Old Trafford in Manchester.

It was a completely one-sided affair as India went on to beat Pakistan for the seventh time in the World Cup. After Pakistan slumped to another defeat, the fans from the neighbouring country slammed the team for not showing enough zeal and questioned their fitness levels when compared to Virat Kohli’s men. Recently, another incident, involving the Pakistan cricketers, has come to the fore.

A number of photos and videos are doing the rounds on social media that allegedly showed the Pakistan players at Shisha Cafe at night before their marquee clash on Sunday. The clips displayed Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik with his better-half, Sania Mirza. Other cricketers like Imam-ul-Haq and Wahab Riaz were also seen enjoying shisha at the lounge, which is located on Winslow Road in Manchester.

A few of the fans also claimed that they saw Malik smoking shisha at around 2 AM even as the others were having junk food, which included burgers and pizzas. The same has sparked outrage amongst the fans, mostly aimed at Malik, who got out for a golden duck to Hardik Pandya.

Meanwhile, Sania Mirza isn’t happy by any means, and she bashed the one, who shot the video without her permission. She accused the person of ‘disrespecting their privacy’ and also didn’t mince any words in saying that ‘people are allowed to eat’ even after a defeat.

She took to Twitter and wrote “That’s the video you shot without asking us, disrespecting our privacy even though we had a child with us?& got told off for doing so,& u came up with this crap?FYI ‘outing’ was dinner & yes ppl are allowed to eat if they lose a match! Bunch of fools! Try better content nxt time,”
