Sania Mirza, the star Indian Tennis player, has lashed out at a fan who questioned her nationality after her tweet of urging the people to stand up for humanity. She is the wife of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik and the duo is celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary on Thursday. The couple has been living together ever since 2010 and are playing for their respective countries. However, Sania Mirza has risen as one of the top players in India but she was fumed when a fan asked her to tweet about the terror attacks of Pakistan.
Recently, the country was shaken up as an eight-year-old girl was raped and murdered. Much like many others, even Sania was disappointed after hearing of the news and urged everyone to stand up for the small girl by keeping away all the castes, religion and colour, She believed that it was important that everyone should bat for humanity and then only India can prove its unity in diversity.

However, one of the Twitter user named didn’t take this message in good taste and questioned her nationality given the fact she was married ‘into’ Pakistan. Also, he asked her the reason for not tweeting about the innocents being killed in Kashmir due to the terror activities by Pakistan. “With all respect madam which country are you talking abt.Last time I checked u had married into Pakistan. You no longer are a Indian. And if u must tweet thn also tweet for the innocents killed by Pak terror outfits,” he tweeted.
Miffed after reading the tweet Sania Mirza couldn’t tone down her anger and absolutely smashed down the fan with a perfect reply. She first lashed out at him for asking her nationality and cleared that she will always be an Indian and requested him to look beyond religion some point in his life.
“First of all nobody marries ‘into’ anywhere .. you marry a person! Secondly NO LOW LIFE like you will tell me which country I belong to.. I play for India,I am Indian and always will be.. nd maybe if u look beyond religion and country one day you may just also stand for humanity!” read Sania’s reply.
Here’s the thread of the whole conversation:
Is this really the kind of country we we want to be known as to the world today ?? If we can’t stand up now for this 8 year old girl regardless of our gender, caste, colour or religion then we don’t stand for anything in this world.. not even humanity.. makes me sick to the stomach pic.twitter.com/BDcNuJvsoO
