Sanju Samson, a promising young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, is trying to find his foot in the international circuit. Samson, was recently involved in the white-ball cricket against Australia comprising three-match ODI and T20I series. He had directly flown to Sydney with the Men in Blue after the conclusion of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sanju had to warm the bench in the One-Day series but he featured in all the three T20 Internationals against Australia. However, the 26-year-old had a forgettable run in the shortest format of the game on Australian soil as he registered scores of 23, 15 and 10 respectively across three innings.
The swashbuckling batsman returned back to India after participating in the third T20I at Sydney Cricket Ground on December 8 as he isn’t a part of Indian squad for the ongoing four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Instead, Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha have been included in the Test squad as two prominent wicketkeepers.
