Talking about Samson, he was appointed as RR’s captain after Australia batter Steve Smith failed to deliver the goods. Talking about Rajasthan’s season, they failed to qualify for the playoffs and remained a struggling team. Though Rajasthan failed to perform as a team, Samson opened his bat on several occasions and collected 484 runs in 14 games, averaging an impressive 40.33.

It remains to be seen how will CSK arrange themselves after the exit of their legendary leader MS Dhoni. Even after the final of IPL 2021, he made it clear that he will be walking up the next season by adding he’ hasn’t still left.’

“Hopefully, we’ll be back in Chennai for the fans. Again, I’ve said it before, it depends on BCCI. With two new teams coming in. We have to decide what is good for CSK. It’s not about me being there in top-three or four. It’s about making a strong core to ensure the franchise doesn’t suffer. The core group, we have to have a hard look to see who can contribute for the next 10 years. Still, I haven’t left behind,” said MS Dhoni while summing up the 2021 IPL win against KKR.
