Rajasthan Royals led by Sanju Samson have reached the IPL 2022 finals after thrashing Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets in the Qualifier 2. The Royals had won nine out of their 14 games in the group stages and finished in the second spot behind the other finalists Gujarat Titans. Samson’s side has been one of the most consistent teams of the tournament and is looking to grab their second IPL trophy. Samson’s wife recently shared a story on Instagram, aimed at the IPL broadcasters.
The IPL broadcasters released a video with caricatures of each team’s captains and players for the race to the finale. But in a glaring miss, Samson and his teammates were missing from the video. Samson’s wife Charulatha Ramesh, posted a screenshot of the video and questioned the absence of Royals players in the video.
The caption on Charulatha’s IG story read, “Saw this animated video showing the race for IPL 2022 on the first day of IPL. And wondered why there wasn’t any pink jersey.”
In the following Instagram story, Charulatha shared a picture of the Rajasthan Royals’ squad reaching the final captioned: “AND FINALS! Grateful”
Sanju Samson has received praise for his leadership skills
At the start of the IPL 2022 season many people were skeptical about Samson’s leadership skills. But the flamboyant middle-order batter has proved all the critics wrong. Not only has he backed his teammates after a poor game, but he has also instilled a sense of calm in the dressing room.
Rajasthan Royals will be playing in the final for the first time in 14 years, their last appearance coming at this stage back in 2008. The Royals will face a stern test in the finale against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans, who are looking for their maiden title in their debut season. But the Royals will be confident going into the game as their star batter, Jos Buttler scored a magnificent century in the last game against RCB. With the Orange Cap holder on their team, the Royals are well equipped to tackle the threat posed by the Titans.
