Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has come out in support of Harbhajan Singh and has questioned the Indian team selectors for not including Bhajji in the Indian Champions Trophy squad. Mushtaq took to Twitter to voice his opinion and has said Harbhajan is a proven match-winner who always performs when needed.
The Indian offie had a decent outing in the Indian Premier League with the eventual champions Mumbai Indians which is why people have rendered support to him. The tweet from Mushtaq does not come as a surprise since he has worked in England and finds merit in backing Harbhajan.
He tweeted, “@harbhajansingh is a match winner & a game changer he has done it before & can do it again shame he is not in team india 4 Icc champ trophy”

Bhajji had questioned MS Dhoni’s inclusion in the Champions Trophy squad
Harbhajan had earlier questioned the selectors for including MS Dhoni in the team while ignoring Gautam Gambhir and himself despite good performances. However, he had later slammed the media for twisting his statements out of context.
“MSD is a dear friend &a great player, I never doubted his selection so please don’t quote me on things which I never said against him just to run ur sites n create ‘sensatiinonal stories’ don’t misquote & run out of context to harm someone elses image..,” Harbhajan tweeted.
Now that the Champions Trophy is just about to get underway, Harbhajan can only hope to travel with the Indian team to West Indies for the limited-overs tour scheduled immediately after the tournament.
Gautam Gambhir’s recent form has been brilliant
As far as Gambhir is concerned, he has been proving himself time and again in the domestic circuit, and the IPL is a proof of the same. Be it his brilliant captaincy or his approach towards the game, there as several reasons why fans feel GG deserves another chance in the national team. For now, the offie and the opener will have to wait.
