Fast bowlers are the sentimental ones. Hit him for a six and he will want to knock you back with a bouncer. They run in hard and when a batsman just dismisses the ball to the boundary expect the tempers in their temple to soar high. Something similar happened in the 2nd T20I of the New Zealand vs Pakistan series. The visitors had posted 202 runs on the board and the Kiwis were out chasing it.

Hasan Ali their premier fast bowler was hit for a boundary and with agitated emotions was walking back to his bowling mark. To give his player a piece of advice skipper Sarfraz Ahmed approached him running in from his position behind the wickets. While he shared his pearls of wisdom Hasan was least interested and just kept walking.

Following this incident, there were reports of a divide in their relationship. But Sarfraz in an interaction with the media confirmed that they are on good terms and that the incident was sorted then and there with no further implications.

“The incident that occurred between me and Hasan was sorted out their and then. I went on to talk to him later on, so there is no such rift between us,” Sarfraz said.

I get a bit too involved in the match

The wicketkeeper-captain is known for being an aggressive leader. Mistakes aren’t pardoned with a smile but it is delivered to the player and ensured he knows what’s expected of him on the field.

“Whatever happens in the ground, I don’t do it deliberately. Neither at club level, Under-19 or first-class. Yes, I get a bit too involved in the match. Some people like it, some don’t. I try to make sure my style (of functioning) remains the same),” Sarfraz told Pakistan’s Samaa TV.

“Whatever happened with Hasan Ali, it was a matter of a couple of minutes and ended there. I spoke to him later on as well. There is no issue. It finished then and there and I hope it won’t happen again. Hasan is a team-man and puts his heart and soul into it,” Sarfraz added.

Though Pakistan lost the ODI series terribly by a 5-0 margin, they came back really well to win the T20I series 2-1. With that, they also regained the pole position from the Black Caps and are currently the No. 1 ranked team T20I cricket.
