Wicket-keeper batsman Ambati Rayudu has been enjoying a scintillating form in the ongoing season of IPL. Rayudu, who changed sides prior to the season, has evolved into one of the most integral cogs in the CSK batting lineup. The 33-year old has looked sublime in his techniques and his performance serve as a testament to that. As of now, Rayudu has the Orange cap with 329 runs at an average of 47.
After playing for Mumbai Indians for several years, he found space in the CSK setup for this season. Apart from donning the yellow jersey, the Andhra batsman was also promoted in the batting order where he got the chance to open the innings alongside Shane Watson. Both the CSK fans and the cricket pundits would have barely speculated anything about his performance with the bat. But once he got the chance, Rayudu was spot-on and didn’t look back even once.
In a recent promotion event, Ambati Rayudu along with CSK teammates including Imran Tahir, Sam Billings, and Shardul Thakur, was seen the present. During the press conference, a journalist asked the secret behind the massive changeover in his batting style. And in return, Rayudu said, “Not too sure that I’ve been taking it further this year. Here I’ve been playing a role given by the team. I’ve got a very different role to what I was doing in the previous years. I’m actually enjoying the freedom I’m getting in terms of batting. I’m happy.”
