Hasan Ali, the Pakistan fast bowler, is all set to tie the knots with Indian girl Shamia Arzoo. As per reports, the 25-year-old pacer met Shamia in Dubai through a close friend. They will be tying the knots on August 20 at Dubai’s Atlanta Palm Hotel. A couple of days ago, Hasan posted a tweet about the wedding but said that it wasn’t confirmed yet and would be making an official announcement.
Recently, Hasan quashed all doubts and confirmed that he would be entering the wedlock. Hasan will be wearing a black and red sherwani suit while Shamia will be dressed in Indian style. Post marriage, the couple will be settling down in Gujranwala and it was stated by Hasan during a news conference in his hometown. It was earlier learned that ten family members will leave for the UAE on August 17.

Birth and hometown
Shamia was born on Friday, September 15, 1995 (23 years old as of now) at the Chandeni Village, Nuh District, also known as Mewat in Haryana.
Parents and Siblings
Shamia’s father Liyaqat Ali is a retired Block Development Officer. Her mother’s name is Rahisha. She has a brother, Akbar Ali, and two sisters — Bilkis and Mumtaz.
Studies and Profession
Shamia studied at the Manav Rachna University in Faridabad and secured a B. Tech degree in Aeronautical Engineering. She has also studied in England. After completing her graduation, she started working as an Air Hostess in Jet Airways.
Thereafter, she shifted to Emirates Airlines as a flight engineer. Shami’s family stays in Faridabad and she has been staying in Dubai for the last three years.
Favourite sport and favourite cricketer
Shami’s favourite sport is cricket and his favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli, the Indian all-format skipper. Virat has a great female fanbase and Shamia’s liking for him isn’t a surprise.
Roots in Pakistan
Shami’s family’s roots are in Pakistan. Her brother Akbar’s great grandfather Ghosi Khan’s brother Khan Bahadur migrated to Pakistan from their ancestral village at the time of partition and are based in Kothi Naiyaki village in Kasur district in Pakistan.
Khan Bhadur’s son Sardar Tufail, who was chairman of Pakistan Railways Board, stayed in touch with their family.
Kalpana Chawla – Her Inspiration
In her childhood, Shamia often talked about being a pilot. She used to read books about Kalpana Chawla, the first woman of Indian descent to go to space. In 2003, Chawla passed away at the age of 41 in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
Fourth Indian girl to marry a Pakistan cricketer
Shamia is set to become the fourth Indian women to marry a Pakistan girl after Zaheer Abbas, Shoaib Malik and Mohsin Khan. Malik is married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza since 2010 and the couple has been in the news on quite a few instances.
