Chasing a target of 217, Manjot Kalra rose to the occasion with a spectacular hundred. Opening the innings with Prithvi Shaw, both put up a tremendous start. He later combined with the Player Of The Tournament Shubman Gill for a 60-run partnership. Finally, it was him and Harvik Desai who saw India through.
Shah Rukh, on the other hand, wasn’t present at the IPL auction. It was Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla who took care of the proceedings there. The Kolkata franchise managed to retain Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav. They also managed to get Robin Uthappa and Chris Lynn back in their ranks. They’re yet to announce a captain though.
