He hailed the Punjab born cricketer’s swashbuckling century and backed the girl to conquer the world. Shah Rukh also wished and tipped the whole team to win the title and expressed his love for the team.

Harmanpreet was quick to return the favour to the established actor. Harmanpreet Kaur, in a reply to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet, wished him luck for his upcoming movie ‘When Harry met Sejal’. The Bollywood actor has been paired with Anushka Sharma in the movie, who is the girlfriend of present Indian men’s team captain Virat Kohli.

Harmanpreet Kaur went berserk with the bat against the Kangaroos as she scored 171 runs off just 115 balls. She remained unbeaten until the end and was well supported by Mithali Raj during her inning which took India to a respectable total of 281 runs. In an inning of a lifetime, Harmanpreet Kaur manhandled the Aussie bowling attack with ease.
Coming on to chase the target the Aussies gave a tough fight but fell 36 runs short of their target. Jhulan Goswami and Deepti Sharma were on-song with the ball as the Indians bundled out the Aussies for 245 runs. In a wonderful gesture of sportsmanship, Aussie batsman Alex Blackwell gifted his jersey to Harmanpreet Kaur for her extra-ordinary display with the bat.
