Shah Rukh Khan thanks KKR cheerleaders for their support
Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shahrukh Khan was all praise for the cheerleaders of his side and even thanked them for their undying support for the team. Kolkata Knight Riders were ousted from the tournament following their 22 run defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Delhi in the Eliminator last night.
The Bollywood star took to Twitter to thank the lovely ladies for their enthusiasm and love for the team. Interestingly, the Kolkata Knight Riders’ cheerleaders were seen crying after the team suffered the tournament ouster defeat. This drew a lot of attention of not just the fans around the globe but also among the players, and now certainly among the owners too.

Very rarely do we get to see such scenes when the cheerleaders get so involved with their team that they feel deeply saddened after the team loses a crunch game. The actor admitted the fact that he has always praised the players of the team for their performances but never quite credited the cheerleaders for the support they give in all the matches. He tweeted, “Always wish my KKR boys the best and never said anything to the girls who bring so much cheer. Lov u girls & thanx”
He further said in another tweet that he certainly is disappointed with the defeat and hoped for the better performance in the future seasons. He went on to quote that sometimes the best by the players might just not be enough to give them a victory. He also wished the Sunrisers Hyderabad all the luck for their crucial Qualifier 2 match against the Gujarat Lions.
Shahrukh will next be seen in action when he takes off for the Caribbean Premier League. He is the owner of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steels, the team that won the tournament last year and is captained by Dwayne Bravo.
