Pakistan star left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi has bowled several match-winning spells for his country in his international career so far. Shaheen is a very popular figure in his country with young cricketers of Pakistan trying to follow his footsteps and represent their country at the highest level.
In keeping with this spirit, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Department has named the left-arm pacer as their “goodwill ambassador” and try to portray a soft police image to reduce the trust gap between the local police authorities and the citizens. An event was organized by the CCP police on July 4 (Monday) to name Shaheen as their ‘goodwill ambassador’.
Shaheen appointed as Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police
In a function organised at the Prime Institute of Health and Sciences, Shaheen was also named as Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). He also gave his word to the KP police that they have the full backing of the Pakistan national cricket team.
