Shahnawaz Dahani hilariously reacts to Sarah Taylor’s rumoured marriage proposal for him

Shahnawaz Dahani has indeed made a name for himself with his staggering performance in this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL). The right-arm pacer bowled one spectacular spell after another, and played a vital role in taking Multan Sultans to the elusive title. He, in fact, finished the tournament as the highest wicket-taker, having scalped 20 wickets in 11 games. All thanks to his spectacular show, many fans and experts are backing him to become the next big thing in Pakistan cricket.

Besides cricket, however, Shahnawaz Dahani has been in news lately for some other reasons as well. Rumours have been doing rounds that former England women’s cricket team captain Sarah Taylor wants to marry the young Pakistan pacer. Taylor allegedly has been bowled over Shahnawaz’s tremendous rise and humble nature. Hence, she wants to spend her entire life with the fast bowler.

With Taylor being one of the finest batters ever in women’s cricket, the rumours of her proposal to Dahani spread like wildfire. Netizens also got an intriguing topic of discussion and all sorts were speculations were drawn. While Sarah is yet to comment on her alleged statement, Dahani has addressed the rumours.

During a recent interaction, Dahani addressed how the media has been talking about his link-up with the former England cricketer. The 22-year-old seemed to be in a goofy mood as he made some hilarious remarks. On being asked about whether Taylor will really propose him from the front, Dahani said: “the world is one hope.” Although jokingly, Dahani also said that he would give his acceptance if Taylor proposes him.

“Yes, of course,” Dahani said before bursting into laughter. Now that, Dahani has addressed the rumours and made some interesting comments. It would be interesting to see whether Sarah Taylor, who announced her retirement from international cricket in 2019, would give her reaction or not.

Meanwhile, Shahnawaz Dahani must gear up for his maiden international assignment as he’s a part of Pakistan’s Test squad for the West Indies tour. The two-match Test series would get underway on August 12 and it would be interesting to see whether Dahani gets his debut cap or not.
