What happened when stalwarts from two different fields met each other on Twitter? – an epic tweet banter! Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne exchanged playful banter on Twitter in the build-up to the ICC Champions Trophy final between India and Pakistan at The Oval which SRK’s boys lost. Shah Rukh was seen wearing a t-shirt with India printed on it as the actor made a 2 minutes appearance on Star Sports 1 during the innings break of the match.

Pakistan thrashed India by a huge margin of 180 runs to lift their first ever Champions Trophy. For India, it was the third time that they made it to the finals of the tournament. The defending champions were outplayed in all departments by the 2017 champions. Pakistan both batted and bowled brilliantly to deserve the silverware. While Hassan Ali won the golden ball, India’s Shikhar Dhawan won the golden bat.

SRK posted a photograph of himself ahead of the final. “All spruced up 2 cheer for CT17 Finals. Also excited to present the MiniTrails to the world,” Shah Rukh who is promoting his upcoming movie “Jab Harry Met Sejal” tweeted.

In reply to that, Warne replied saying “good luck mate”

SRK said it’s been a while since the both of them met and also hoped he enjoys the match.

Shane Warne in his response said, “Look forward to seeing you soon my friend! Should be a great game, I can also remember you smashing me around Eden Gardens a few years ago,” Warne wrote on his Twitter account.

“Yeah sure in my dreams. I would ever be able to smash u around!” King Khan tweeted back.

Throwback to 2011

Warne was talking about a mock game at the Eden Gardens during the 2011 edition of the Indian Premier League when Shah Rukh, who co-owns the Kolkata Knight Riders, had faced a few deliveries from the spin wizard who was the captain of the Rajasthan Royals team at that time.
