Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne who is currently a participant in the reality show, ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ was bitten by an Anaconda during the latest challenge on the show. The cricketer was given immediate treatment by the on-hand medic on the set.

Warne’s task was to first put his head in a box full of rats for some time and when he was done with that he had to go on and present his head in a box that was full of different species of snakes from Anacondas to Rat Snakes and Corn Snakes.

The host of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ Dr. Chris Brown had warned Warne even before he went ahead with the task to be really careful, as the snakes will certainly smell a rat on him and mistake him for food and strike.

And that is what happened, the rats left their scent on Warnie and the snakes certainly mistook him for the animal and attacked him. It was a juvenile Anaconda and bit him as soon as he put his head inside the box. The task is called Tucker Trial.

Though Anacondas are non-venomous they are aggressive and the snake bit is of course very painful. Warne was examined by the medic and is said to have got a few small marks, but no permanent scars.

Here is the video of the task and at the end of it, you can see Shane Warne being bitten on the head by an Anaconda:
