Arguably the greatest spinner in the world, Shane Warne on Monday lashed out on Twitter at reports that he was in talks with Network Ten to become the next Bachelor in a contract worth more than $1 million. Just one day earlier, he had slammed Daily Mail as well for being factually wrong.
The Australian weekly New Idea had claimed that Warne was all set to become the next Bachelor. Thus to clear the air, Warne had to take to Twitter to deny the story as baseless.
He tweeted out, “Once AGAIN ‘No Idea’ has completely made up a story about me being the new bachelor! This is hurtful to me & my children as it’s total lies. Ps I have not had one conversation with anyone about this. How can they continue to print lies about me, makeup stories & get away with it?”

Earlier, New Idea had reported that the Spin King had been approached by network bosses and was ‘ironing out the finer details’ of his contract which was estimated to be worth $1 million. The magazine, which claims to have spoken to a Ten Insider and a close friend to Warne, claimed it was only a matter of time before he’d embark on his national quest to find love.
According to British tabloid, The Daily Mail, an insider reportedly told New Idea about Warne looking forward to joining the reality television series.
“Whatever he does always ends up in the media, so why not give it a shot. He is the first to admit he doesn’t always make the best choices with women,” the source told the newspaper.
Talking about Warne, he seems to be really concerned this time around and may well be considering his legal options after the publication of a series of fake stories about his personal and professional life. He has been really unhappy with being the continuous target of fabricated stories. Also being a father of three children, he was wary of the impact it could have. According to Herald Sun, He has told friends the story about him being the new Bachelor are “a load of made up sh**”0
