Australian legend Shane Warne, former English skipper Mike Atherton and former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja have named their current Test eleven which is led by the Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli, who has been in great form in all 3 formats of the game, was an easy choice for the 3 former players as they discussed the Best XI of the current generation, on “Sky Sports” on Saturday.

“This morning @skysports asked Athers [Mike Atherton], Ramiz [Raja] & myself to pick two world 11’s ! 90’s & a Current one. This was the consensus after our selection meeting. Thoughts ? Agree / Disagree ? The two unlucky players to miss out in my opinion are Amla & Williamson. This is also a squad, the final 11 would be picked depending on conditions,” Warne wrote on his Instagram.

They picked the aggressive opener David Warner and England skipper, Alastair Cook to open the innings in the current World Test XI. Joe Root, Virat Kohli, and Steve Smith add flair to the middle-order with the South African skipper AB de Villiers taking the gloves.
