'She absolutely loves it' - Virat Kohli gives his signed jersey to David Warner's daughter Indi Rae
Virat Kohli and David Warner are close friends away from the field.
David Warner is one of the few cricketers who is really active on social media. From uploading funny Tik Tok videos to making face swap videos, the Australian batsman has done almost everything. In his most recent Instagram post, he thanked the Indian captain, Virat Kohli for a sweet little gesture which he had done for Warner’s daughter Indi Rae.
Team India returned from Australia recently after successfully winning the T20I and Test series Down Under. Going by the post, the Indian captain had gifted Warner’s daughter with one of his playing jerseys. David also revealed that Kohli is his daughter’s favourite apart from him and Aaron Finch.
Warner said that even though the Australian team lost the series against India, his daughter is quite a happy girl right now. “I know we lost the series but we have one very happy girl here!! Thanks, @virat.kohli for your playing jersey, Indi absolutely loves it. Besides daddy and @aaronfinch5 she loves VK #fan #love #cricket,” the Instagram caption read.
David Warner and Virat Kohli’s friendship goes a long way
There is no secret that Aaron Finch shares a great friendship off the field with David Warner. But, the Aussie batsman is also very close to the Indian skipper. Kohli was there with the Indian team until the first Test. He had also featured in the ODI and T20I series before that. After the first Test, he returned to India for the birth of his first child.
David Warner had previously stated during his Instagram live sessions that his daughter is a big fan of Virat Kohli. The photo which he uploaded on Instagram had his daughter wearing the signed Test jersey of Virat Kohli. The Indian captain has been known for making such kind gestures and this incident was just an addition to that long list.
Warner and Kohli go quite a long way. The two were known to be hot-headed during the younger days. The two even had one on-field spat during the 2011-12 India’s tours of Australia. However, over the years, we have seen the two get closer. The two have often talked about each other in the right spirit and praised each other’s performances.
