Saurashtra player, Sheldon Jackson, was referred to as a foreign cricketer during a discussion on the wicketkeeper batter. Jackson is part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squad for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was bought for a sum of INR 60 Lakhs in the 2022 IPL mega auction that took place last month.
However, a panel member, Rahul Rawat, issued a clarification tweet that stated that Jackson was never called an overseas cricketer. The panelist also urged all the fans to watch the entire video and stated that he is aware of what Sheldon has achieved in the sport of cricket.
“Nowhere during this clip or during the entire show did I ever mention Sheldon Jackson as a foreign player. My bad I didn’t realize when he got called an overseas entrant. Pls go through the entire show because I am very well aware of Sheldon’s achievements for Indian cricket,” read the tweet from senior journalist Rahul Rawat.
