Shikhar Dhawan posted an adorable picture with his wife on Twitter. The Indian opener earlier pulled out of the first three One-Day Internationals in the Australian series. It appears that his wife is not keeping well and may undergo a surgery. The Gabbar of the Indian team, Dhawan has been taking care of her.
Considering she is going through a tough phase physically, the husband wants to be with her and give her strength. Shikhar’s caption with the picture read, “Glad to be here with my wife. Will be her strength at this moment of time. hope surgery is going to go well in the coming few days.”

Dhawan since comeback
The left-hander has been in tremendous form of late. He topped the batting charts in the recently concluded Champions Trophy scoring a scintillating 338 runs that too at a sensational average of 67.60. While there were questions at his spot before the tournament began, Dhawan gave an answer to all his detractors when it mattered.
He continued his good form in West Indies where he scored 2 fifties. He followed it up with a century on the Sri Lanka tour as well. His absence may hence be felt by the home team. Ajinkya Rahane is expected to replace him in the playing XI. Rahane is the front-runner having top scored in the Caribbean tour, whereas KL Rahul failed to prove himself on the Sri Lankan tour.
The Australian series is all set to begin tomorrow at the Chepauk Stadium. The Australians have a great record, having won all their four games there. They would be looking forward to starting the proceedings with a win. India, on the other hand, will want to win the series 4-1 or better as that will give them the numero uno status in ODIs as well.
