Shikhar Dhawan spills the beans on Virat Kohli’s taste in music
When Ravi Shastri was asked about the same, he redirected the host to Dhawan.
Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, had some moments to cherish on Thursday, September 12. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) unveiled a stand in the pavilion, bearing his name, at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. The DDCA recently renamed the stadium as Arun Jaitley Stadium in memory of the legendary politician during the DDCA’s Annual Awards function.
Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, digitally inaugurated the stadium in presence of the late finance minister’s family. After the honour, Kohli became nostalgic and told how his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma, gave him a couple of tickets. During the match, Kohli also revealed how he was clinging to the gallery grill asking for former fast bowler Javagal Srinath’s autograph.
The function was attended by the Indian cricketers, head coach Ravi Shastri and Anushka Sharma, Virat’s better-half. Amidst the felicitation, there was a lot of fun as well where Kohli’s taste in music was known. The show’s host went up to Shastri for the answer. Kohli was sitting beside Shastri along with Anushka and he seemed keen on how the coach reacts.
But Shastri, also a former Indian cricketer, redirected the host to Shikhar Dhawan. “Make him sit with Shikhar Dhawan, and then see. He’s sitting at the back, ask him,” Shastri mentioned. Both Kohli and Dhawan have honed their skills since childhood at the Kotla itself.
