Shikhar Dhawan wishes the funky Hardik Pandya on his birthday

Various cricketers and fans took on to social media today to send birthday wishes to Hardik Pandya. The versatile Indian all-rounder turned 25 years of age. Of late, he has been recovering from the back injury that he aggravated during the Asia Cup. He was taken off the field on a stretcher during India’s high voltage clash against Pakistan and didn’t resume action in the remainder of the tournament.

Pandya isn’t a part of the current Test squad against West Indies as he’s on the road to recovery. All his teammates took the opportunity to shower wishes to the lanky all-rounder on social media. The likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin and many others wished him the best.

Dhawan has a special wish for Pandya

The gabbar of the Indian cricket team, Shikhar Dhawan also joined the chorus. Terming him a rockstar in the team, he wished him a speedy recovery from his injury. Dhawan didn’t forget to add his light humour in the tweet. He even expected Pandya to come up with funkier hairstyles, a trend that has set social media abuzz.

The all-rounder is also expected to miss the limited-overs series against the Caribbeans. The BCCI and the team management would be looking to take no risks ahead of the Australian tour. Also for a fact, Hardik Pandya‘s workload has been a matter of question. He appeared in four consecutive Tests in the England tour and wasn’t even rested for the Asia Cup. Pandya is going to be an integral part of India’s World Cup campaign next year. Hence, they will be longing to see him at his best.
