Shikhar Dhawan has some words of advice for Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the grand finale

The stage is all set for a nail-biting encounter between rivals India and Pakistan as both the teams seem hungry as ever to lift the Champions Trophy. India’s journey to the final has been described by stellar performances from the batting department which has been perfectly supported by the bowlers. Whereas, Pakistan has been a dominant force with the ball with a fiery pace attack that has rattled every opponent except India. The main story: ICC came up with an interesting video prior to the mega event where Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Jasprit Bumrah share the screen. The inexperienced Bumrah is seen to be taking a few useful tips from opener Shikhar Dhawan who has been in astounding form in the tournament. The left-handed batsman shares some pointers on how to handle pressure in finals with the young and promising pacer. When Bumrah asked for some advice on how to handle pressure in finals, Dhawan pointed out that staying at peace and concentrating on your role can turn things in your favour. ”Just take it as another game and for every player, there are different mantras which they use and for me it was remaining calm and cool, focusing on my process. I think you like to be calm and composed in the pressure situations and I’ve never seen you getting tensed so this would work for you.” Replied Dhawan. Shikhar Dhawan has been in extraordinary form as far as ICC events are concerned. Speaking about the secret behind the same he said “”Even I am trying to find the secret formula. But yes I am really happy to perform well for India in big tournaments and especially in Champions Trophy because it is tougher than the World Cup where you straight away play against the top teams.” Shikhar Dhawan also admitted to the fact that the fans of both the nations will have huge expectations from their players and the batsman hopes to live up to them. They will be having huge expectations and for both the countries it’s going to be the same and we will try our best to win the match and bring back the trophy home.” said Shikhar.
