Shikhar Dhawan’s son picks the better batsman between his father and Rohit Sharma
India is celebrating Father's Day today.
Shikhar Dhawan is currently in England, where he is with the Indian team for the 2019 World Cup. The southpaw notched a century against Australia at the Kennington Oval in London. However, during the course of the incredible knock, he copped a blow on the thumb from speedster Pat Cummins. Later scans revealed that he had a hairline fracture and would be out for a few days.
In tournaments organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), he has an average of 65.15, having scored 1,238 runs in 20 matches. The 33-year-old also racked up six centuries in those encounters and his omission is undoubtedly a massive one for the Men in Blue. After sustaining the injury, he put up a poem of Rahat Indori, showing his grit and determination for a comeback.
Meanwhile, recently, the Delhi-born cricketer featured in a show named ‘Breakfast With Champions’, hosted by renowned presenter Gaurav Kapur. He also had his opening partner Rohit Sharma and son Zoravar for company. The fact that it was father’s day on June 16 made the occasion even more special. All four of them looked in a pretty jolly mood.
During the show, Gaurav asked Zoravar to name the better batsman between Dhawan and Rohit. “Who’s your better batsman, you or your dad?” the show’s host asked. Shikhar was standing behind his son. Instead of his father, a playful Zoravar pointed towards Rohit Sharma without any inhibition. The 32-year-old Rohit was a bit bemused and then he gave the youngster a high-five.
On Sunday, Shikhar posted the video of the same on Twitter. Moreover, he captioned the video and wrote, “Baap sher, toh beta savaa sher. Happy #FathersDay in advance. #BreakfastWithChampions @ImRo45 @gauravkapur,”

He got out for 56 versus the Aussies and will be keen to make amends.
