Indian cricket team suffered a harrowing loss at the hands of their arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday at the Kennington Oval in London. They lost their ICC Champions Trophy title to Pakistan. Fans from every state of the nation were disgusted at this defeat but the northernmost state of India showed a different picture altogether. They were celebrating with drums and firecrackers after Pakistan’s historical win.
The chairman of Hurriyat Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also joined in with the fans to celebrate the victory. He expressed his happiness on Twitter, by saying “Fireworks all around, feels like an early Eid here. Better team took the day. Congratulations team #Pakistan.”

But his tweet was not to the liking of veteran Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir, who was furious at Farooq’s tweet, replied by saying “A suggestion @MirwaizKashmir why don’t u cross the border? U will get better fireworks (Chinese?), Eid celebs there.I can help u wid packing.”

Shiv Sena replies
Shiv Sena is not very impressed with the comments of the Delhi lad. According to their leader, asking Mirwaiz to leave the country is easy, but it would have been better if the players decided to boycott the match.
“The entire nation wants zero relations with Pakistan irrespective of the platform. I don’t want to question their patriotism, but it is very easy to say to people like Mirwaiz to leave for Pakistan. I don’t want to criticize them, but the Indian Cricket Team should have opposed the match. Any player, who would have refused to play against Pakistan, would have been hailed all across the country,” said the leader of Shiv Sena, Sanjay Raut, while speaking to ANI.
He further asked the government to keep a check on the separatists’ activities. “These separatists have always been on the side of Pakistan. But the way they pray for Pakistan while living in India, the Government should look into this kind of behaviour,” opined Raut.
